Everyone has, at one time, set their sights on a traditional New Year’s resolution goal. Losing weight, working out, ditching soda…something like that. I’ve done those sorts of resolutions with varying degrees of success and not really ever felt like I did something awesome for the year. Sure, I lost weight and such, but I never really did anything revolutionary, nothing memorable.

This year, I’m trying something a little different.

Anyone who knows me knows that I adore My Little Pony. Even more so, I love the Brony movement that’s been spurred from the current generation of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and I can’t support its tenants enough: Gender equality, love and tolerance for all, friendship, and creativity. How could I not stand behind that? More importantly, how could I help a movement survive long enough for my young son to benefit from its existence? The answer is easy, really…I just need to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty.

To that end, on Saturday January 12th, I posted to the Bronies Facebook page (see the wall post here) with an offer: bring me your Brony-related websites and development needs, and I will help you, for free.

Since posting that, I have had 14 different websites ask me for help. I can’t help every single one of them, and I am doing this in my spare time for no compensation, but I’m doing my best. Want to follow along with how I do? Want to track my progress? Support my efforts? Then read this blog, support the sites I help make, and canter on!
